Week One-Day 2
Activity 1
For this activity we had to look at a wharepuni and write down to similarties and two diffrences between
the wharepuni and my house.
the wharepuni and my house.
Differences
1.There is a kitchen in my house and there isn't in the wharepuni.
2.There is no tekoteko on my house and there is on the wharepuni
Similarities
1.They both have the same structure.
2.They both have a door and windows.
Kia ora Caitlyn,
ReplyDeleteYou have done some great comparing and contrasting! I like the way you have used the subheadings ‘differences’ and ‘similarities’ to label your different ideas. Maybe you could think about making the subheadings bold or using a bigger font so that these subheadings stand out more.
I think that tekoteko are so beautifully carved. I always see them in the Waitakere Ranges in Auckland when I go for bush walks and I’ve always wondered what they were for. Do you know why Maori buildings have tekoteko? What do they represent?
Keep up the great blogging!
Noho ora mai,
Emiely :)
