Week 1, Day 2, Activity 1
I would like to go and visit the Tane Mahuta one day because of how big and strong it is. I would like to stand next to it and compare ourselves. I would like to admire the patterns and the textures on the tree. I would also like to sit next to it and watch the world go by.
Hi Caitlyn
ReplyDeleteMy name is Allie and I am the cluster manager for the SLJ in Toki Pounamu. Well done with this post.
I am lucky enough to have seen Tane Mahuta and he truly is a magnificent tree. It is an amazing sight to see. I really hope that the disease that is effecting all of the kauri trees does not reach Tane Mahuta. It is great that everyone is obeying the rules and washing their shoes as they enter and leave the park. So hopefully it will not effect him.
You will have to add this trip to your bucket list of places to visit. It is well worth it!
I think you would be amazed if you sat next to it just how big it is.
I always wondered how many people it would take if they joined hands around the trunk of the tree. I think we would all be surprised at just how many it would take.
Hope you are having a great holiday.
Keep up the great work
Until next time
Allie :)
