Week One Day 4
Activity 1
My favourite waiata is Hareruia because I like the lyrics and the meaning behind the song. I also like
Hareruia because I know it in Maori and in english.

Week One Day 4
Activity 2
Ki-O-Rahi
The game that I am talking about is called Ki-O-Rahi. The main purpose is to pass the ball through the
3 sections to score goals by hitting the bucket in the middle. You can also score goals on the side by
touching the poles. Two rules is that you have to stay in the section that you are put in. Another rule is
that you have 3 players in the third section, 2 on the second and 2 in the first section. Here is what it
looks like:

Kia ora Caitlyn,
ReplyDeleteActivity 1: I don't think I have heard of Hareruia before, but it sounds like it is a beautiful waiata. What is the meaning behind the waiata and what does "hareruia" mean? It would be great if you could find a video of someone singing Hareruia so that other people who view your blog will be able to listen to the song too. This way, you will be able to share your favourite waiata with them.
Activity 2: Super work explaining the game of Ki-O-Rahi. I like the way you have even added a diagram of the different sections in this game! The different colours used in this diagram make it really clear. Well done, Caitlyn! I'm not too sure why it does this sometimes, but unfortunately a lot of your words have gone off the page. Is there a way of keeping your typing inside your blog post? It's quite hard to read otherwise. I'm not too sure how to fix it, but I know you're a clever girl! Let me know if you can figure it out so I can help other people to fix their layout too. Thanks, Caitlyn. :)
Bonus Activity: Great job ranking the Kapa Haka performances. It's great to see you liked all of them and were able to find positive comments to say about all the performances. I'm sure that the performers would have a big smile on their face if they knew you thought they had all done an amazing job (which I agree). In the Te Puku o Te Ika performance, one of the performers is holding a picture of a man. Why do you think they are holding this photograph and who do you think he might be?
Keep up the great blogging!
Noho ora mai,
Emiely :)
