  1. Kia ora Caitlyn,

Activity 1: Great work translating the different phrases into English and Te Reo Maori. I like the way you have done the English and Te Reo translations on the same line. This is a really clear and organised way of presenting this activity. Well done! Did you enjoy using Google Translate? I wonder what these phrases would sound like in other languages. Maybe you could try translate some things into other languages like French or Japanese! I think that might be good fun. :)

Activity 2: Thanks for sharing some interesting things to do at Waitangi! The waka tour does sound like a lot of fun. It would be interesting to learn about the history and culture of Maori. It's a great choice and I'm glad you shared it on your blog. You could think about adding a picture of Waitangi and the war wakas. Maybe it will make other people want to go there too.

Bonus Activity: These are some great questions to ask Bill Kini. I like that you have asked very different questions with different question starters. I bet you would be able to learn a whole lot about him from these questions. Maybe you could ask a question that starts with "how" or "why". These types of questions are usually open-ended questions which means you will get more than just a "yes" or "no" reply. It often means they have to answer with an explanation. What "how" or "why" question would you ask Bill Kini?

Keep up the great blogging! I can't wait to see what you will post next.

    Noho ora mai,

    Emiely :)
